Aww, how cute, they even managed to sneak the black D-pillar swoop onto it. Just in case it couldn’t be any more generic.

Chevy, and I say this as a person who historically has been a GM fanboy, has completely lost the plot.

Pretty sure it's a Toyota ...

Classic GM. Take an existing vehicle name that isn’t tarnished, completely abandon it a model cycle later for an older name (that used to be a large, three-row crossover).
Why not just call this the Trax? From a Marketing perspective I get that the Blazer, Trailblazer resonates with more people overall, but what the hell no the sizes are switched? You go GM.

Wait, so which is bigger, the Blazer or the T- Blazer?

GM is really good at ruining nameplates, Not that the Trailblazer was anything tru ly special but the SS version was respected.

The Trailblazer is smaller. Meant to replace the trax
![]() 05/10/2019 at 14:40 |

It’s all so fucking pointless with these names...
![]() 05/10/2019 at 14:45 |

This looks bigger than the Trax though.

At least this one won’t be as easy to flip.

They should’ve just give us this

Was the original trail blazer a true SUV? No not really so I guess I’m not too disappointed , or more like i’m beyond being disappointed at this point.

I don’t understand the collective freakout over “ruining” this name either. (well, I get it, this is the internet, we are required to be outraged at something )
The trailblazer, in my eyes, was a POS pre-bankruptcy generic CUV. Yeah, there was the SS version, which I thought was pointless at the time, but it seems like people really loved them, especially in Dayton. Nothing there to tarnish.
The blazer name was ruined in the 90's. The new blazer doesn’t deserve credit for that. Although ugly as hell, the new blazer seems like a natural progression of the jellybean that came out in the 90's.

My Trailblazer is way cooler

Lots of people put on weight when they get old. Don't judge.

would you rather the new Captiva, built in China?

They can't... it's only got another year to run. It's a fairly ancient platform now too.

I guess some people are disappointed cause the Brazilian trailblazer is a body on frame suv on the Colorado platform so they were hoping for that
